Create an account with us to stay up to date on the latest updates from Starglass and the Harvard Plate Stacks project. You'll also receive an API key that can be used to access the Starglass API with a higher rate limit than the general public, as well get access to FITS files and other large scientific data products.

Starglass is fully open to the public and free to use. However, due to the volume of data and size of some of the data products created through the scanning process, we have decided to limit the number of requests that can be made to the API by unauthenticated users as well as make some of the larger data products available only to authenticated users. This helps us limit better understand the ways that the data is being used and to ensure that we can provide the best possible experience to all users.
